I’ve heard burning candles can be very relaxing. Have you tried this to relax? ?
Does is work? Where do you find it best to burn them? At what times of the day?
I guess the real question is, will it help you relax?
Only your experience can answer that question.
Personally, I like the elements and I don’t find television relaxing.
So options… You can certainly burn a candle while taking a long relaxing bath.
One of my favorites is to use a candle as a focal point of a meditation. Just turn off all the lights, consider a fountain or some relaxing music, light a small candle, and focus on the candle flame. If your focus drifts from the flame, simply bring it back to the flame. All the benefits of meditation, made easier since the eyes have something to focus on.
Another option is to light a candle while just listening to any music you enjoy, or reading a book.
Unfortunately, no one technique works for everyone. I know some people that are so worried about house fires that any flame raises their blood pressure, a little counter-productive. It really depends on you.
