What is the etiquette of giving souviniers as birthday or Christmas gifts?
My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are famous for this (they are just alike.) I don’t want to sound selfish or materialistic but I don’t want a bunch of junk. I would rather not have anything at all. My birthday was a few weeks ago – I got a bright orange bag with Key West on it, a Key West spoon rest, an obnoxious smelling Key West candle and to top it off, an onion keeper which looks like a big plastic onion and you open it to put in onions. Umm… really I would rather have nothing.
I really don’t think they were left overs, she really did mean to buy me that junk for my birthday. Do you think this stuff will sell on eBay? LOL
